阿蘇海の鳥 Birds of Aso-Kai Lagoon
先日大年砂防ダムに行って、鴨類を3つ見ました。阿蘇海にどんな鴨がいるかと知りたくなりました。冬がもう終わったので、多くの鴨がもう北の方に向かっているでしょう。
The other day I went to Otoshi-Sabo Dam and saw 3 kinds of ducks. That got me wondering what kinds of ducks were around Aso-Kai Lagoon. Winter has finished, so I guess many are already heading north.

キンクロハジロが多いです。There are many tufted ducks.

ヒドリガモも多いです。鳴き声が全然鴨らしくではありませんでした。 There are many Eurasian wigeons too. It's song didn't resemble my image of a duck's at all.

 あの砂州に色んな鳥がいます。カモメや鴨類や鵜類が見えます。 There are various birds on that sandbar out there. I can see seagulls, some kind of duck and a shag like bird. |  川鵜（カワウ）ですよね。 It's a 'great cormorant' by the looks. |

色々の鳥がいましたね。やはり私達の周りをゆっくり見ると色んなものが見えます。面白い！！！次回何が見えるでしょうか。I saw all sorts of birds. If we take our time and look around us, we can see all kinds of things. It's really interesting！！！ I wonder what I can see next outing.
