崇山森林公園(後編） Mt. Arata Forest Park (Part 2)

前編はここです。　「牛取岩」と「アジサイの谷」を探検してから展望広場で昼食をしました。その後、尾根に向かいました。
Part 1 is here. After exploring 'Ushitori-Iwa Rock' and 'Azalea Valley' I had lunch at the lookout area. Then headed for the ridge.

右の階段が山頂に行く歩道です。私はMTBに乗って左の道を上りました。 The stairs to the right is the path to the summit. I ride my bike up the road to the left.

私の拳が大きいですがこのフンのほうが大きいです。でかいですよ。何の獣のフンでしょうか。乾いているので最近のものではありません。 My fist is big, but this dung is bigger. It's huge. I wonder what beast it's from. It's dry, so not fresh.

私の手が大きいですよ。 My hand is big.

尾根に到着 arriving at the ridge

まずは山頂に行きます First, I'll go to the summit

この木が面白いです。新葉っぱが出る前に枝の先にひげのようなものが生えっています。

This tree is interesting. Before the new leaves sprout, it has a beard-like thing growing at the tips of the branches.

今回、この尾根を走って下ってみます This time I'll try riding down this ridge

勿論倒れている枝等がありますが、楽しい！！！ Of course there are fallen branches and the like, but this is fun！！！

振り返る。階段もたまにあります Looking back. There are some stairs too

分岐です。私はまっすぐに行きます。 A branch in the track. I continue straight on.

左のトレイルが「アジサイの谷」に行きます。よさそうなトレイルです。 The left path leads to 'Azalea Valley" It looks like a good trail.

京丹後市の大宮町と峰山町。かすんでいない日に日本海も見えます。 Omiya and Mineyama of Kyotango City. You can also see The Japan Sea when it isn't hazy.

白糸の滝 Shiraito Waterfall

滝の右側にある岩 The rocks to the right of the waterfall

上ってみたら、上にも滝がありました。上りにくくて、危険でしたが、不動尊・行基菩薩まで上りたかったです。 When I climbed up to see what was above, I found more waterfalls. It was difficult and dangerous, but I wanted to climb up to the statues.

「白糸の滝」のすぐ下に階段があります There are stairs just below Shiraito waterfall

もみじが沢山ある場所です。秋が綺麗でしょう。 It's an area with lots of Japanese maples. Must be beautiful in autumn.

帰る前に近くにある若宮神社を見に行きました Before heading back home, I went to see the nearby Wakamiya Shrine

面白い場所でした。楽しかったが2日後、もっともっといいトレイルを見つけました。その話は次のブログエントリーにします。
It was an interesting place. I enjoyed it, but 2 days later, I found a much much better trail. That story will be my next blog entry.
