年末MTB遊び End of Year MTBing
土曜日に大年砂防ダムに行って、日曜日に回復して、月曜日に雪を探しに行きました。 On Saturday I went to Otoshi-Sabo Dam, recovered on Sunday, and then went looking for snow on Monday.

今年の４月に下記のオシドリを大年砂防ダムに見ました。戻ってきましたかな～。見に行きましたがいませんでした。 In April this year, I saw the mandarin duck pictured below at Otoshi-Sabo Dam. I went to see if it had come back, but it wasn't there.

カルカモが多くて、コガモも数羽がいました。ここのカルカモが臆病で、少しでも動けば全部逃げてしまいます。 There were a lot of eastern spot-billed ducks and a few Eurasian teals here. The eastern spot-billed ducks here are really timid and flee if you even move a little.

今冬雪が降っていません。日曜日の夜の天気予報にみぞれのマークがあって、山に雪が降ったかな～。月曜日に雪を探しに行きました。多分今年の最後のスノー上ライドのチャンスだと思います。もちろん杉山に行きました。 There is no snow this winter. There was a sleet mark on the weather forecast for Sunday night. Maybe it snowed in the mountains, so I went in search of snow on Monday. It would probably be my last chance for a snow ride this year. Of course, I went up Sugiyama.
 朝に青空でした。最近と比べて、気温が下がったが気持ちがいいです。There was blue sky in the morning. Compared to recently, the temperature has dropped, but it feels good. |  松葉に大きい水滴がありました There were big water droplets on the pine needles |
上の方に雪がありますよ。もしかしてスノー上ライドができます。 There is snow further up the mountain. Maybe I can have a snow ride.

 このシードポッドが長い～ This seed pod is long |  だって、私の手が大きいですよ。 My hand is pretty big, you know. |

 また大きい台風が来れば、ここを通れなくなるかも知れません If another big typhoon comes, we might not be able to get past here. |  |
 よく走っている道だけど、まだまだ探検できる場所があります。この上に行く獣道があって、面白そうです。またいつか、もっと奥へ探検したいです。 Even though I've ridden this road often, there are still places to explore. There is an animal track that leads up above here that looks interesting. I'd like to go further up sometime to explore. |  この山に澄みきった水が流れています。 The water is crystal-clear in these mountains. |
 こいつだった！ This is the culprit! |  コンツアーのマウントが折れました My Contour mount broke. |  道具を持っていませんが、全身の力を使って、リベンジゲット。 もう安全です。 I don't have any tools, but I use my full strength to get revenge. Now it is safe. |
先日コンツアーが上記の枝と衝突して、マウントが折れました。これはその動画です。 The other day my Contour action camera collided with the branch pictured above and the mount broke. This is the video.
雪が木にあるよ。スノウ上ライドができそう！わくわく！ There is snow in the trees. It's looking good for a snow ride. Woohoo!

今年の５月に磯砂山に登りましたよ。 I climbed up Mt. Isanago in May this year.
 京丹後市網野町の辺りの日本海が見えます。偶然に大きい船を撮影しました。 You can see The Japan Sea around Amino Town, Kyotango City. By chance, I captured a large ship out at sea. |  ここからあそこの海岸まで約２８㎞です。 赤い線の左側に磯砂山が見えます。It's about 28km from here to that coast. You can see Mt. Isanago to the left of the red line. |

標高が一番高い所にこれぐらいの雪が積もっていました。これは今回の雪上ライドになります。もうちょっとあったらいいのに… This is how much snow there was at the highest point. Not as much as I was hoping for but this is what I get for today's snow ride.
えっ！嘘だろう！火曜日の朝に山がこの状態でした。回復の日なのに… Eh! Are you kidding!? This is what the mountain looked like on Tuesday morning. Wouldn't you know it, it's my recovery day.
