山羊がり　Goat Hunting

子供の頃にペット山羊を飼っていました。最高のペットでした。またペット山羊がほしいです。しかし、白い山羊があまり好きではありません。白ではない山羊が好きです。野田川には白い山羊がいますが、また子供頃のような山羊に会いたいです。今日はMTBで探しに行きました。
I had a pet goat when I was a kid. It was an awesome pet. I'd love to have another pet goat. But, I'm not so fond of white goats. Anything but white. There are some white goats in Nodagawa, but I want to meet another goat like I had as a childhood pet. So I jumped on my MTB and went in search.

私のペット山羊です。名前は「Sooty」(スーティ)。名前は英語の「soot」から取りました。「soot」が煤という意味です。勿論、「sooty」は黒い山羊でした。 This was my pet goat. His name was Sooty. Of course, he was a black goat.

さあ！山羊はどこにいるでしょうか。まず山に行きます。 So! I wonder where a goat is hanging out. First I head to the mountains.

山に山羊がいません。 There are no goats here in the mountains.

しかし、この小さな可愛いヘビがいました。多分山羊はヘビが嫌いでしょう！ However there was this cute little baby snake there. I don't think goats would like snakes that much.

何のヘビでしょうか。また若いから私は柄でわかりません。ヤマカガシかな。 Wonder what kind of snake it is. It's hard for me to tell from it's pattern because it is still young. I guess it is a Japanese keelback.

山羊はどこにありますかとお地蔵さんにお尋ねします。 I ask the Jizo guardians where there are goats.

お地蔵さんが「海の近くにいる」と返事しました。 They replied, "Down by the sea".

海に向かっている途中、カーブミラーを見ます。お～！山羊がいそうなところだな～！しかし、山羊がここにいません。 On the way to the sea, I look in a roadside mirror. Oh! This looks like a place where goats would hang out. But, there are no goats here either.

海まで来ましたが、ここも山羊がいません。 I've made it to the sea, but there are no goats here either.

しかし、この海岸が綺麗です。もうちょっと行けば、山羊がいるでしょう。 However, this coastline is beautiful. Maybe if I continue on a little further, I might find a goat.

ここの神様にお尋ねします。神様が「山羊が桜の木の近くにいます」と返事します。 I ask the deity at this shrine. It replies, "You can find a goat near some cherry trees".

もうちょっと走ります。まもなく、立派な桜の木がたくさん見つけます。四月にここが綺麗でしょう！またここで花見をしに来たいと思います。さあ！山羊がこの辺にいるでしょうか。 Not long after that, I find a street filled with splendid looking cherry trees. This place must be beautiful in April. I wouldn't mind coming to see the cherry blossoms here. Right! There must be a goat around here somewhere.

いました！素晴らしい山羊ではないか！つれて帰りたいです。しかし、冬に餌がありません。あ～！懐かしい匂いです。しばらく、ここにいて、私の子供頃のペット山羊を思い出します。There's one here. What a nice looking goat. I want to take it home. But it would have nothing to eat in the winter. Ah! That smell brings back memories. I stay for a while reminiscing about my childhood pet goat.

メスでした。しかし、ひげがありますよ。はい、メスの山羊もひげがあることもあります。
​It's a female. But it has a beard. Yes, even female goats can have a beard.

ずっと丸太の上に立って雑草を食べていました。私も食べさせました。 It was standing on a log eating the weeds. I also fed it some.

頭をかいてあげました。気持ちが良さそうでした。 I scratched its head. It looked like it felt good.

何を見ているでしょうか。何を考えているでしょうか。 I wonder what it is looking at. I wonder what it is thinking.

山羊は丹後由良駅にいます。しかし、10月18日までいるそうです。電車に乗って会いに行きませんか。 The goat is at Tango Yura Train Station. But it is apparently only here until October 18th. Why don't you jump on a train and go see it.

山羊を探しに行った。
山羊を見つけた。
山羊と一緒にいる時間を楽しんだ。（匂いも）「笑」
子供の頃のペット山羊を思い出した。
満足です。
