富士五胡「３日目」 Fuji Five Lakes (3rd day)

その夜、ホテルルートイン河口湖に泊まって、富士さんを見ながら、天然温泉を楽しみました。３日目に観光をしました。
That night I stayed at 'Hotel Route-In Kawakuchiko' and enjoyed a natural hot spring while taking in the view of Amanohashidate. On the 3rd day I did some sightseeing.

左の写真のビューを楽しみながら、ビュフェの朝食を食べました。 While enjoying the view in the photo to the left, I had a buffet breakfast.

山中湖 Lake Yamanaka

綺麗！雲が一つもありません。最高！Stunning! There's not even a cloud in the sky. Couldn't get a better day.

精進湖：　標高９８２m　水深１５m　面積６．７km²　周囲１３．５㎞
Lake Shoujiko: Altitude 982 m, Depth 15 m, Area 6.7 km², Shore length 13.5 km

山中湖はクジラの形をした湖です Lake Yamanaka is shaped like a whale

パノラマ台。ここは富士八景のひとつです。 Panorama Dai. This is one of the eight views of Mt. Fuji.

富士吉田浅間神社 Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine

The temple grounds. The biggest cypress tree in this photo is about 1000 years old, about 33 meters tall and the trunk's circumference is about 8.7 meters

この鳥居は昔から富士山の北登山道口でした。最近、ほとんどの登山者はここからではなくて富士スバルラインの五合目から登りはじめます。 This torii gate marks the ancient entrance to the northern track up Mt. Fuji. Now-a-days most people start from halfway up the mountain at the Fuji Subaru Line's 5th Station.

コウモリ洞穴 Bat Cave

面白い形をしている岩があります。 There are interesting shaped rocks.

まず、短いブッシュウォークがあります。 First you have a short bush-walk.

コウモリ同穴の入口 Entrance to Bat Cave

ちょっとコウモリ臭いです。 It's smells a little of bat (dung).

コウモリを守るためにここより入ってはいけません。 In order to protect the bats, you can't go beyond here.

In order to not disturb the bats, please be quiet

西湖の周辺に観光のための洞穴が３つあります。コウモリ同穴が一番大きいと読んだから、選びました。私にとって、鳴沢氷穴がもっと面白かったかも知れません。

白糸の滝と音止の滝 Shiraito Falls & Otodome Falls

音止の滝 Otodome Waterfall

Otodome Waterfall is 25 meters high. There is a legend that the Soga brothers discussed their famous revenge mission near these falls some 800 years ago, and when they remarked how the noise of the waterfall was so loud that they couldn't talk, it suddenly fell silent. Hence the name of the falls, Otodome Falls which means "Sound-Stopping Falls"

白糸の滝 Shiraito Falls

すごい！！！この滝はすごいです。私は滝が大好きです。ずっと前からこの滝を見に来たかったです。綺麗な滝です。スプレーが気持ちがいいで、水が綺麗です。WOW!!! This waterfall is great. I love waterfalls and have been wanting to come here since many years ago. It's beautiful. The spray feels good and the water is nice and clear.

パノラマ Panorama

ここから富士山と白糸の滝が見えます。秋に紅葉もあるから最高でしょう。 You can see Mt. Fuji and Shiraito Falls from here. In autumn the autumn leaves would make this scene spectacular.

新東名高速道路 Shintomei Expressway

新東名高速道路を初めて通って帰りました。この道がすごくよかったです。サービスエリアに２つ止めて両方はすごかったです。大きくて、店が沢山あって、英語と中国語のアナウンスも流れました。飛行場見たいです。静岡SAと岡崎SAに止めました。岡崎SAは特にすごかったです。 I used the New Tomei Expressway for the first time to go home. It was a really nice expressway. I stopped at 2 service area. They were big, had many shops, and even had announcements in both English and Chinese. Like being in an airport. I stopped at Shizuoka Service Area and Okazaki Service Area. Okasaki Service Area was especially impressive.
