道が直されましたよ

最近ずっと雨でしたが、今日は気持ちのいい晴れている日になりました。杉山林道に行ってきました。日本では秋が一番好きな季節です。　（母国であるニュージーランドでは夏が一番好きです）。しかし、秋にＭＴＢで山に入って、嫌なものが２つあります。その２つのものは何でしょうか。ちょっと考えってください。さあ！当たったかどうかみてください。下記に載せてあります。
Recently we've had nothing but rain. At last, it's a nice day. I went up Sugiyama. My favorite season in Japan is autumn. (In my home country of New Zealand, it's summer). However, when I go into the mountains on my MTB in autumn, there are 2 things that I hate. What do you think those 2 things are. See if you can guess. Right! Let's see if you were right. Those 2 things can be found below.

雨の後、道が川になりました。原因は側溝が詰まっています。 After the rain, the road has become a stream. The cause being a blocked gutter.

波でもあります。 It even has waves.

道の真上にこのでかいクモの巣がありました。面白い形ですね。これはジョロウグモです。秋にクモの巣がすごく多いです。特にジョロウグモが多いです。これは秋に嫌なものの１つです。トレイルを走るとクモの巣だらけになります。特に顔に当たるのが嫌です。 This spider web was right over the middle of the road. It's an interesting shape, isn't it. It's called a Joro Spider. It is a member of the golden orb-web spider group. In autumn there are a lot of spider webs. These Joro Spiders are especially abundant. This is one of the things I hate about autumn. When riding the trail in autumn, you get covered in spider webs. I especially hate them hitting my face.

秋には二番目に嫌なのは栗のいがです。これを持つだけで痛いです。嫌いの理由は秋にトレイルの路面が栗のいがだらけになって、パンクの主な原因です。 The 2nd thing I hate about autumn is these chestnut burrs. They hurt just holding them. The reason I don't like them is that the surface of the trails become covered in chestnut burrs and are the main cause of my punctures.

はい、座頭虫「ザトウムシ」です。体部分がごく小さいですが、足がものすごく長いです。たくさんいました。なんかホラー・ショーのようでした。群居する生物です。 That's right! It's a 'harvestmen'. It's body is tiny, but it's legs are really long. There were lots of these on the ground. It was kind of like a horror show. They are gregarious

この林道に絶景ポイントが多いです。 There are a lot of great views along this forest road.

今日のトレイル Today's trail

すごい！やっと直されました。　WOW! At last it's been repaired.

2年ほど前に土砂崩れが起こって、車が通れなくなった場所です。 There was a landslide here about 2 years ago making it impassable for cars

あの岩がなくなりました。 That big boulder has gone.

これだけ残っています。 Only this is left.

ここも綺麗になりました。

They have made the road nice through here too.

この辺に大きい穴がありました。 There was a big hole in the road here.

ここはジャンプになっています They have made this into a jump

ハイスピードのジャンプをすれば、気をつけてください。曲がらなかったら、さよならです。 Be careful if you do a high speed jump. If you don't go around the corner, it's GOODBYE.

ツユクサと彼岸花が畑の周りにたくさんあります。 There are a lot of these asiatic dayflowers and red spider lilies around the edges of the fields.
