妹が来日した時の日記 A Diary of My Sister's Trip to Japan
残念ですが、妹が来日する前に自分の足を骨折した。そのため、そんなに遠く歩けなかった。それでも、色んな所に行って、いい休みができたと思います。
Unfortunately, my sister broke her foot before coming to Japan. Because of that, we weren't able to walk that far. Even so, we were able to visit many places and have a good holiday.

Day 1: 自転車で天橋立に行きました。 We went to Amanohashidate by bike.

義理弟(アンディ)が「これがいい。またしよう。」と言った。 My brother-in-law (Andy) said, "This is good. Let's do it again".
Day 2: K’s電気、ゴダイ、スシローなどに行って買い物をしました。 We went shopping at places like K's Denki, GODAI, and had lunch at Sushiro (sushi train)
晩ご飯の買い物をしていた時にアンディが「これしよう」と言った。いいね！それは私にとって楽です。半額だったし。 When we were shopping for something for dinner, Andy said, "Let's get this". Sounded good to me. That made my life easy and it was half price.
Day 3: アンディは牧場の研究がしたかったので、牧場を見に行きました。同時に丹後半島を回りました。その夜は宮津燈籠流し花火大会でした。 Since Andy wanted to check out some Japanese farms, we visited a couple and drove right around Tango Peninsula at the same time. That night was the Miyazu Fireworks & Floating Lantern Festival.

 宮津湾 Miyazu Bay |  精霊船 Spirit ships (representing a person who died in the past year) |  これは地元の伝統です。 This is a local tradition. |
 今回は一番いいところから花火大会を見ました。 This time, we are lucky enough to watch the fireworks display from the best place. |  精霊船が燃やされました。 The spirit ships are burning. |  燈籠流しも見えます。We can also see the floating lanterns. |

Day 4: 姫路城に行きました。 We went to Himeji Castle (a UNESCO World Heritage Site)

Day 5 宮津市内でゆっくりしました。We had a look around Miyazu City.

Day 6: 呉市の大和ミュージアムと広島市の原爆ドームに行きました。 We went to the Yamato Museum in Kure City and the Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima City.

Day 7: 京都市に行きました。 We went to Kyoto City

この後、私は宮津市に帰って、妹夫婦は新幹線に乗って、東京に行きました。
