昇龍の滝と成相山 Shoryu Waterfall & Mt. Nariai
今日は秋の気配が感じられる気持ちのいい一日。久しぶりに日置から成相山へ登って、日本屈指の景色を満喫します。 It's an autumn-like day today. It's been a while, so I'm going to go up Mt.Nariai from Hioki and enjoy one of the best views in Japan.

 大手川 Ote River |  あの川の向こう岸に、いろんなカヤックが並んでいます。私もカヤックがほしくなっちゃった！ There are various kinds of kayaks over there. I want a kayak myself. |
天橋立を渡って、海岸沿いに日置へ向かいます。 I cross over Amanohashidate and head along the coast for Hioki.
 沓島と冠島 Kutsu Island & Kanmuri Island |  今日は遠くまでよく見えて、珍しく福井県まで見えます。 Can see quite far today. It's a rare sight to be able to see Fukui Prefecture across the bay. |
 左に行くと昇龍の滝、まっすぐ進むと成相寺です。Shoryu Waterfall is to the left and Naria-ji Temple is straight ahead. |  ３０メートルくらい進むと滝が見えてきます。 The falls are about 30 meters down there. |

あの赤い点のあたりに小さな動物が見えました。何でしょう？ブサイクな猫かな？楽しそうに私の方へ向かって歩いています。よく見ると若いイノシシ(瓜坊)でした。かわいい！！お母さんがいないといいのですが…！
私のすぐそば、7メートルくらいのところでこちらに気づき、慌てて茂みに逃げてしまいました！！！
I can see a small animal around about where that red dot is. Wonder what it is. Is it an ugly cat? It looks like it's enjoying it's stroll down the path towards me. It's a young wild boar. It's cute. I really hope mum is not about. It notices me when it gets to within about 7 meters of me and runs off into the undergrowth.

近年、この道を使う人はほとんどいないようです。雑草が生い茂ってきました。このトレイルは春にマウンテンバイクで走るのが気持ちいいと思います。それに、反対方向に行くのも楽しそうです。
In recent years, it seems no one is using this road. The vegetation has taken over. I think it would be best to ride it in spring. The opposite direction to which I am going would be lots of fun.

このあたりはとても急な坂で、一気に標高が上がっていきます。振り返ると、冠島と福井県が見えます。 Looking back. This part is really steep. I'm rapidly getting higher. Can see Kanmuri Island and Fukui Prefecture.

笠松公園 Kasamatsu Park
久しぶりに笠松公園に来ました。すっかり新しくなっています。冠島や沓島の情報など、これも新しく設置されたものです。 I haven't come to Kasamatu Park for quite some time. There are lots of new things here. This is new, along with the information about Kanmuri & Kutsu Islands.

More information about Kanmuri & Kutsu Islands. The painting in the lower left hand corner is a famous painting by Sesshu done in 1501. It mentions why they were important enough to be included in the painting (lower right hand corner of painting)

この歩道の案内図で示されている「上の部分」がどこにあるのかわかりません。阿蘇海へ下る歩道の入口がどこにあるのか、いつか探してみたいと思います。 I don't know the upper part of this walking track. I wonder where the entrance to the path that goes down to Aso-kai Lagoon is. I'll have to search for it one-day.
Some information about ① Kasamatsu Park ② Nariai-ji Temple ③ Kono Shrine
笠松公園から階段を下りました。下りきった頃には足が震えていました。翌朝（日曜日）、久しぶりにふくらはぎの筋肉痛になり、少し驚きました。From Kasamatsu Park, I went down by the steps. When I got to the bottom, my legs were shaking. [The next morning (Sunday), my calf muscles were quite sore. It's been a while since that happened and was quite unexpected]
最近、プリン体ゼロ・糖質ゼロのビールが発売されました。痛風の原因になるプリン体を気にしているので、ニュージーランド対南アフリカのラグビーの試合を見ながら試してみました。あまりビールらしい味はしないと思いました。MTBライドの疲れが残っていて、水分補給も十分ではなかったのですが、このビールは意外と効きました。 Recently , this purine & sugar free beer has come on to the market. Purines are bad for gout and cause high uric acid levels. I thought I'd try it out while watching the All Blacks vs Springboks rugby test. It didn't taste that much like beer. I was still tired from my MTB ride and my hydration levels were low, but this beer seemed quite strong.
