地蔵峠 Jizo Pass
今回、久しぶりに金引きの滝から滝上公園までのコースを走りました。今までに写真が撮れていない動物を見ました。この前のブログ・コメント欄に「次は猿と遭遇したい」と伝いましたが．．．さあ！！！何と遭遇したでしょうか。ヒントは私の母国であるニュージーランドではこの動物がいません。やった！！！
For the first time in a while, I rode the Kanabiki Falls to Takigami Park course. I was able to take a photo of an animal I hadn't been able to capture with my camera yet. In a comment on my last blog entry, I mentioned that I'd like to encounter a monkey next. Well, what did I encounter this time? Here's a hint. This animal can't be found in my home country of New Zealand. Got it!!!

地蔵峠の分岐まで来ました。臭い！！！何かが死んでいます。突然動物の姿を見ます。あの動物がまだ私を見ていません。やった！！！私はじっとします。ゆっくり、ゆっくり、カメラを出します。腕をゆっくり動かします。アララララ！！！あの動物が私の方をじっと見ています。逃げる可能性が高くなりました。まだカメラの画面が見えませんが見ないで写真を撮り始めます。うそ！！！標識の後ろに行ってしまいました。ここから写真が撮れません。私は動けば逃げるでしょう。アララララ！！！逃げてしましました。写真が撮れたかな～！！！
I've just reached the Jizo Pass intersection. It stinks. Something's dead. Suddenly I see an animal. It still hasn't seen me. Cool!!! I freeze and very very slowly reach for my camera. I move my arm really slowly. Oh no!!! It's staring my way. Now it's likely to flee, so even though I can't see the screen on my camera, I start taking photos. You're kidding!!! Now it has moved out of view behind the sign post (while still staring at me). I can't get a photo from here. If I move it will take off. Nooooo!!! It's taken off down the road. Wonder if I got a photo.

何やってる！？後足で歩いているのように見えます。日本ではキツネが人間に化ける民話は数多いですね。面白い！！！ What are you doing!? Looks like it is walking on it's hind legs. There are many folk tales in Japan where foxes disguise themselves as humans. Haha, funny!

この後、ダウンヒルの途中に綺麗なオスのキジとメスを見ました。動画を撮りましたがユーチューブにアップロードするとぼんやりしてしまいます。 After this, on the way down hill, I saw a really nice looking male pheasant and a female with it. I caught it on video, but when I up-loaded it to YouTube, it became a blur.
