黒井城跡の雲海 'Sea of Clouds' from Kuroi Castle
On November 6th last year, I climbed up to the former site of Kuroi Castle to see the 'sea of clouds'. It was perfect conditions and I was rewarded with spectacular sights. I highly recommend going here, so have finally got around to posting my story now that the 'sea of clouds' viewing season is upon us again. I actually first went here in May last year. The mist from the left hand side flowed over the ridge forming a waterfall of mist. Eventually, the right had side filled up with mist too, forming an island. 左側からの霧が尾根を越えて霧の滝を作り、最終的には右側も霧で満たされ、島が生じました。

The mist appears to be erupting upwards like a geyser. 霧は間欠泉のように上昇しているように見えます。
Video: Somebody had a 'mini 3 pro' drone. It would be fun to have one of these. But an eMTB is at the top of my shopping list.

黒井城の別名は保月城（ほげつじょう）です。 Kuroi Castle was also called Hogetsu Castle.
You can see Mt. Oe from Kuroi Castle. I drove over Mt. Oe to get here. 黒井城からは大江山が見えます。ここへ来るために車で大江山を越えました。

There are 2 paths up from the main entrance. I climbed up the shorter steeper path in the dark. The majority of people climbed up the easier route. I climbed up as fast as I could, but I think you should allow 30 or 40 minutes to get to the top. You probably need to climb up in the dark to enjoy the sunrise. However, if you're scared of the dark mountain forest, you can climb up in the morning light and still enjoy spectacular views of the 'sea of clouds'.
駐車場からは登山道が2つあります。私は暗闇の中、より短くて急坂コースを上りました。ほとんどの人はなだらかコースを上りました。私はできるだけ速く上りましたが、山頂に着くには30から40分程度かかると思います。日の出を楽しむためには暗闇の中を登る必要があるかもしれません。ただし、暗い山の森が怖い場合、朝の光の中で登ることもでき、『雲海』の壮大な景色を楽しむことができます。
