今福の滝 Imabuku Waterfall

今週末に雨がよく降ったから、今回は今福の滝に行きました。 This weekend it rained a lot, so today I went to Imabuku Waterfall.
 防火水槽に金魚がいます。 There are goldfish in the fire cistern. |  |
この季節の田んぼが好きです。 I like this season's rice fields.
 アジサイが6月に咲きます。 Hydrangea bloom in June. |  田舎の庭が綺麗ですね。 Gardens in the countryside are beautiful. |
 獣が出て来ないように閉めましょう。 Let's make sure we close the gate, so wild beasts don't come out and eat the farmers crops and gardens. |  |
 ヤマモモ Japanese bayberry |  The fruit is this color sometime around June and tastes sweet and sour. |
 しかし、紅色の果実が全然見えませんでした。木に果実が全然見えませんでした。でも、地面に緑色果実がたくさんありました。 However, I couldn't see any reddish fruit in the tree. For that matter, I couldn't see any fruit at all in the tree. But there was a lot green fruit on the ground. |  小さいカマキリ A baby praying mantis |

サンコウチョウ（三光鳥）を3回見たことがあります。去年に弥栄町と大宮町で見て、そして今日も宮津市の今福の滝で見ました。今日は写真が撮れませんでしたが、鳴き声が録音できました。鳴き声が「ツキ（月）ヒ（日）ホシ（星）ホイホイホイ」と聞こえるところから、三つの光、「三光鳥（サンコウチョウ）」と名づけられたそうです。飛んでいるサンコウチョウを見るときには私が神秘的な場所にいると感じます。
I have seen Japanese paradise flycatchers 3 times. I saw one in Yasaka and one in Omiya last year, and then I saw two today in Miyazu at Imabuku Waterfall. I wasn't able to get a photo of them today, but I was able to record their song. They are called 'sankocho' in Japanese, which literally means 3 lights bird. Its song sounds like 'tsuki-hi-hoshi hoi hoi hoi'. 'Tsuki' means moon, 'hi' means sun and 'hoshi' means star. Thus the 3 lights. I feel like I'm in some magical place when I watch them fly around.
