黒井城跡

丹波市、黒井城跡　Kuroi Castle Site, Tamba City.

ある日、舞鶴若狭道を走っている時に春日ICの手前で面白そうな山を見ました。その時、「昔はお城があったのかな」と思いました。それで、家に帰ってから調べてみたんです。すると、戦国時代にお城があっただけでなく、面白い歴史もあることがわかりました。そこで、さっそく次の週末にあそこに行きました。

One day, when driving on the Maizuru Wakasa Highway just before Kasuga Interchange, I noticed an interesting looking mountain. At that time, I thought, "I wonder if that used to be a castle mountain". So, when I got home, I looked it up. It turned out that it not only had a castle on it in the Warring States period, but also has an interesting history, too. So, without wasting any time, I went there the following weekend.

この城は「丹波の赤鬼」と恐れられた赤井直正の居城であった黒井城でした。赤い直正は明智光秀を破ることで有名です。
This castle was Kuroi Castle, where Naomasa Akai, who was feared as the 「Red Demon of Tamba」, resided. He is famous for defeating Mitsuhide Akechi.

私の好きな標識！わくわくドキドキします。この道はなだらかコースの登山道口です。This is my favorite kind of sign. 「Beware of Bears」 I find it thrilling. This path is the entrance to the gentle course.

急坂コース　The steep course

私は急なコースを登って、なだらかコースを下りました。これはいい選択だったと思います。ほとんどの人がなだらかコースだけ使いました。
I went up the steep course and came down the gentle course. I think this was a good choice. Most people just used the gentle course.

山から下りてくる野生動物を止めるための柵のゲート。 The gate in the fence to stop wild animals coming down out of the mountain.

太鼓の段跡　The site of the taiko drum.

太鼓の段跡の分岐で地元の方と出会って、太鼓の段跡のことを聞いてみました。敵の接近を知らせるための太鼓の場所だったと説明してくれました。
I met a local resident at the turn off to the taiko drum site and asked him about it. He said that this is where the taiko drum was located to warn of the approaching enemy.

石踏の段跡。どういう意味でしょうか。

ここはなだらかコースと急坂コースが合流するところです。休憩所があります。This is where the gentle course and steep course merge. There is a shelter to rest at here.

The main parts of the Kuroi castle ruins and viewing paths. 本丸　central keep (tower), 二の丸 outer citadel (second compound), 三の丸　outermost citadel (third compound).

黒井城からの絶景。城を建てるには絶好の場所だったようです。ここからの雲海を見たいです。　The great view from the castle. It seems to me that it was an ideal place to build a  castle. I want to see 'the sea of clouds' (mist filled valleys) from here.

黒井城の別名は保月城（ほげつじょう）です。　Kuroi Castle was also called Hogetsu Castle.

興禅寺　Kozen-ji Temple

黒井城跡の登山口にある興禅寺は下館跡です。城主はふもとの館で政務を行ったそうです。石垣と堀の一部が残っているようです。 Kosen-ji Temple, which is located at the the Kuroi Castle ruins hiking track entrance, is on the site of the lowest part of the castle. The lord of the castle conducted his government affairs in the hall at the foot of the castle which was located here. It looks like part of the stone wall and moat remain.

堀に鯉がいます。　There are carp in the moat.

登山口の駐車場。6台ほど駐車可能です。　About 6 cars can park here.

ジャーマンポテト・フランス　German-potato France. (contains potato and bacon)

道の駅丹波「おばあちゃんの里」に立ち寄り、昼食を購入した。この辺りは黒豆が有名なので、丹波黒豆パンを買いました。 とても美味しいジャーマンポテト・フランスも買ました。
I stopped at the road station and bought some lunch. Since this area is famous for black beans, I bought a black bean bun.  I also bought a German potato French, which was really delicious.
