今日は72キロメートルのライドです。宮津市から天橋立を渡って、岩滝町の男山に行って、京都府道53号線を走って、そして太鼓山までずっと山の中に丹後縦貫林道を走る。あそこから養老町まで下りて、海岸に沿って宮津市に帰るルートです。道路の工事が多いですので、MTBと日曜日じゃないと無理でしょう。途中びっくりビックリ...びっくりしたことの写真がもちろんないですが下を読んでね。
Today I went for a 72 km ride. From Miyazu cross Amanohashidate, go to Otokoyama, Iwataki, then take prefectural road route 53. Turn off on to Tango Jukan Rindo (Nariai Line) and stay on it to Mt. Taiko. From here head down to Yoro town and back along the coast to Miyazu. There is a lot of road works atm, so it would be impossible to do this route without a mountain bike and it would have to be on a Sunday. 

3つの自転車用アプリを一回ずつ使ってみました。「ランタスティック」、「ストラーバ」、「マップマイライド」全部よさそうで、使いやすいです。無料バージョンを使ってみましたが、有料バージョンはもちろんもっと機能があります。友達と（又は自分の記録と）コースを競争したいと思ったらストラーバがよさそうですね。マップマイライドもよさそう。しかしこの二つは日本語のバージョンがあるかどうかわかりません。各アプリがいいところがあるので、どちらの方を使いたいか決めるまで、ライドによって使い分けると思います。下にはライドの後にホームページに出てくる情報やダッシュボードの図です。他のアプリがご存知なら教えてください。
I tried out 3 apps for bikes once each. 'Runtastic', 'Strava', 'Mapmyride' They all look good and are easy to use. I used the free version, but there is also a paid version which offers more functions. If you want to race against your friends on the same course, the Strava looks good. Mapmyride looks good too. they all have good points so until I know which one I want to use permanently, I think I'll use them according to what kind of ride I do. Below is the information and dashboard that appears on the homepage after a ride.Please let me know any other good apps you know of.

今日、もう一つの易しいライドを紹介したいと思います。それは天橋立の文殊から加悦ＳＬ広場までのルートです。山と丘が全然ないですので彼女でも、家族でも楽に行ける道です。今の季節は素晴らしいです。なぜなら、色んな花がいっぱい見えるし、田圃の緑と田んぼの水の反射が非常にきれいです。広い田圃が草原のように見えて、ニュージーランド人としてとても懐かしい気持ちです。海岸に沿って、川に沿って、路線に沿って、広い田圃の中、面白いライドです。ＳＬ広場だけではなく古墳公園とちりめん街道等も色々があります。
Today I want to introduce one more easy ride. That is the course from Amanohashidate's Monju to Kaya Steam Locomotive Square. There are no mountains or hills, so it's suitable even for your family or girlfriend. This season is really nice. That's because you can see many kinds of flowers, the rice fields look nice and green and you can also still enjoy the reflections in the rice field's water. The sprawling rice fields look like green pasture, which fondly reminds me of my home country, New Zealand. Along the coast, along a river, along a railway track, through spacious rice fields, it's an interesting ride. You can not only see the Steam Locomotive Square at the end of the cycle road, but also places like the 'Ancient Tomb Park' and 'Chirimen Silk Road' along the way.

この前の杉山林道イベントの途中にどこかで両脚が一回ずつ何かに噛まれた。昼ご飯を食べている間だったかもしれない。何ものに噛まれたかわからないけれど、数年前にアブに噛まれたことがあって、同じ症状があった。その時、症状を見て、びっくりした。「なんだこれ」と思ったが今度は全然心配していなかった。アブが大嫌いだけど。今度もアブだったかな～。わからないけれど、右の脚のマークは前噛まれた時と似ている。アブと思いますか。（気持ちが悪い写真、申し訳ございません）
Somewhere along the ride the other day I got bitten by something once on each leg. It might have been around the time we were having lunch. I don't know what bit me, but when I was bitten by a horse fly a few years ago, I had the same symptoms. I was surprised when I saw the symptoms at that time thinking 'what on earth is this'. However, I wasn't overly concerned this time round. Goes without saying that I hate horse flies though. I guess it was a horse fly this time too. I'm not all that sure, but the bite mark on my right leg resembles the last time I got bitten by one. What do you think? Was it a horse fly? (Sorry about the unpleasant photo's)

めがねカッパさんは最近新しい林道口を見つけて、今日一緒に探検をしに行きました。それと昨日久しぶりの雨の日でしたので、やっとスマホを買いに行きました。昨日ＭＴＢ用なアプリを探して、今日「Runtastic」というアプリを使ってみました。その情報はこのブログエントリの下にあります。
Recently, Megane Kappa found the entrance to a new forestry road and today we went to explore it. Also, since it was a wet day yesterday, the first in quite a while, I finally got around to buying a new smart phone. I looked for some MTB apps yesterday and tried out the 'Runtastic' app today. The information from that is at the bottom of this blog entry.

宮津市は沢山の素晴らしい山林道だけではなく、素晴らしい海辺も沢山あります。もちろん一番有名のは天橋立ですが今日は栗田半島を一周して、三つのパラダイスほど素晴らしい海辺を通りました。
ＴＡＮＴＡＮロングライドのちょっと前に下のチラシが新聞に入っていました。山が全然ないサイクリングロードが載せてありました。家族又は彼女と一緒にこういうコースはいいですね。もちろん自転車で天橋立を渡るのが最高ですしその辺にレンタルバイクが多いです。しかし、栗田半島にある田井までのシーサイド・サイクリングロードもいいですよ。
Miyazu not only has lots of fantastic mountainous forest roads, but also it has many fantastic beaches. Of course Amanohashidate is the most famous, but today I rode around Kunda Peninsula and passed 3 awesome beaches that looked like paradise.
A couple of days before the TANTAN Long Ride event, the flier below was in my newspaper. It showed Cycling roads that have no hills at all. These roads are perfect to go cycling on with your family or girlfriend. Of course, crossing over Amanohashidate by bike is fantastic and there are many bikes for hire in this area. However, the seaside cycling road to Tai Village on Kunda Peninsula is also a very nice ride.

今度のイベント宮津市マウンテンバイカー、めがねカッパさんと私が行います。十人が参加することになりました。10時までに喜多駅で集合してハーシーのチョコレートを食べて山に向かいました。青空のとき、こういう感じ。
This time it's Miyazu mountain biker's ( Megane Kappa and me ) turn to hold an event.10 people took part. We met at Kita Station by 10:00, ate Hershey's chocolate and headed for the mountain. This is what it is like on a blue sky day
