杉山 Sugiyama
今日はいい天気ですので、山へ行きます。この前の一週間がそんなに寒くなっかったから雪が大分解けたでしょう。いつもと違う林道に行って見るかな。いや...いい天気だからやっぱり展望がある所に行きたいです。また杉山林道に向かいます。
It's a beautiful day, so I'm going to hit the mountains. This last week wasn't so cold so I guess the snow has melted quite a bit. I think I might try out a different trail. Nah ... It's a beautiful day, so I want to go somewhere with a view. Once again I head for Sugiyama.

宮津湾の向こう側にある世屋高原がはっきり見えます。毎年雪が3メートルぐらい積もりますが今年は少ないでしょう。棚田がチャント見えます。 You can clearly see Seya Highlands on the other side of Miyazu Bay. Every year about 3 meters of snow piles up, but I'd say there wasn't so much this year. You can easily see the terraced rice fields

この石の上に休憩をして、眺めと小川を見ながら「水が不思議なものだな」と思いました。見えるけど見えません。

日本に長く住んでいるが今日初めてニホンリスを見ました。私の国であるニュージーランドではリスがいません。人間が来る前に哺乳類がなかった国です。このリスが左から右へものすごく速く林道を渡りました。見えますか。スローモーション(x8)にしました。動画の3秒のところで左の土手を下りてきて、8秒で道路の右から竹に入ってしまいます。
I've lived in Japan a long time, but saw a Japanese squirrel for the first time today. There aren't any squirrels in my country New Zealand. It's a country where there were no mammals before man came. The squirrel moved like a bat out of hell, crossing the road from left to right.Can you see it? I slowed the video right down (x8). It comes down the bank onto the road on the right at the 3 second mark and leaves the road entering the bamboo grove at the 8 second mark.
