宮津市皆原の秋葉神社 Akiba Shrine, Kaibara, Miyazu
めがねカッパさん（MK)と今年の2回目のアドベンチャー・ライドをしに行きました。この新聞記事にある場所を探しに行きました。希望はループ・コースを見つけることでしたが、ピストン・コースになりました。険しい山道でしたが、雰囲気が良くて、楽しいアドベンチャーでした。
I went for my second adventure ride of the year with Megane Kappa. We went searching for the location of the place in this newspaper article. We were hoping to find a loop course, but it ended up as a piston course. The mountain path was quite steep, but it was a really nice place and an enjoyable adventure.

 木からできた橋が２つありました。その木が腐っていました。怖かった！ There were 2 wooden bridges that were rotting. Was a bit concerned crossing them. |  ここには上っている山道ともう１つの林道の分岐があります。あそこの山道を上っていきます。 The mountain track we were on met another forest road here. We continued up that mountain path over there. |

 太陽がほとんど当たらない場所。苔が綺麗！ This place hardly ever sees the sun. The moss is nice. |  滑りやすくて、険しい場所です。ところで、MTBに全然乗っていません。 It's slippery and steep here. By the way, we aren't riding our bikes at all. |
 階段があります。江戸時代からこの山道がありました。 There are some steps here. This path has been here since the Edo Period. |  竹が多い山です。 There is a lot of bamboo on this mountain. |

京都らしいですね。 It's very Kyoto like.

 反射板がありました。 There was a reflection board here. |  絶景ポイント。栗田半島の向こうに丹後半島があって、左側に日置が見えます。 A good view. Beyond Kunda Peninsula, you can see Tango Peninsula, and to the left, you can see Hioki. |
 標高約350メートルに秋葉神社がありました。残念ですが、ここで道が終わりました。昔は道が続いたかも知れませんが、今は通り堅いです。 At about 350 meters above sea level was Akiba Shrine. Unfortunately the path stopped here. It probably continued on long long ago, but it is too difficult to go along now. |  これは手水鉢でしょう。I think this is a chōzubachi, a vessel for washing your hands and rinsing your mouth before entering a sacred place. |

秋葉神社は絶景ポイントです。素晴らしい！この角度から宮津市を見るのが初めてです。お決まりです。ここはランチポイントです。 The view from Akiba Shrine is pretty spectacular. Beautiful! I've never seen Miyazu from this angle before. It goes without saying that this is our lunch point.

今回の謎 Today's puzzle
これは何でしょうか。 What is this?
 マダニです。かなり大きかった！大きさは約５ミリメートルでした。知らなかったですが、マダニは8本の足があります。昆虫ではありません。 It's a tic. It was really big. About 5 mm long. I wasn't aware of it, but tics have 8 legs. They aren't insects. |  私は見つけましたが、どこで見つけたでしょうか。直接にMKさんに聞いてください。 I found it. But where did I find it? Ask MK directly. |
 このでかいアリもカッパ・カフェからランチをもらった。初めてキャベツを味わったでしょう。あの穴にアリの巣があって、穴より大きいキャベツを穴の中に頑張って引っ張りました。動画をご覧になってください。 This big ant also got some lunch from Kappa Cafe. I imagine it is the first time it has tasted cabbage. There is an ants next in that hole. The cabbage was bigger than the hole, but the ant pulled hard and got it in it. Take a look at the video. | |
ということで、また楽しいめがねカッパとアオラキのアドベンチャーから無事に山をでました。険しい上りでしたので、MTBに全然乗りませんでした。しかしMTBがあったので、下りは速かった！宮津の山が面白いです。まだ、面白い場所が残っているでしょう。次回のアドベンチャーを楽しんでいます。
To wrap things up, I safely survived another enjoyable Megane Kappa & Aoraki adventure. Since it was so steep, we didn't ride our MTBs up at all. But because we had them, it was a fast trip down the mountain. Miyazu's mountains are fascinating! I wonder if there are any interesting places left to discover. I look forward to our next adventure.
