天橋立のオニユリ Amanohashidate's Tiger Lilies
You can see may birds around Asokai Lagoon, Amanohashidate during the colder seasons. Compared to the colder seasons, there aren't as many birds in the present hotter season. However, you can sea a lot of flowers and fish. After heavy rain, the water in Asokai Lagoon is murky due to things such as the river water flowing into it. However, apart from that, at other times the water is quite clear and you can sea many kinds of fish. For my morning ride, I ride around Asokai Lagoon about twice a week. It is about a 20 km round trip from my house. Every time I see something interesting. This morning I saw tiger lilies blooming all along Amanohashidate and a lot of fish in Iwataki. I didn't take a photo of the fish, but they were about 30 cm long.
The other day, I saw 2 rays while riding around Asokai Lagoon. Each ray had about 10 small fish following it. Since rays are bottom feeders, I guess the little fish get a feed thanks to the ray disturbing the seafloor.
