4. West Coast Wilderness Trail (NZ) Part 2 ウェスト・コースト・ワルダネス・トレール(後編)

This map shows our start & finish points, as well as where part 1 and part 2 are located. この地図に私達のスタートポイントと終点が載っているし、前編と後編の場所が見えます。
 しばらく砂利道路を走りました。 |  We rode along a gravel road for some distance. |
 また専用MTBトレイルに入ります。 |  Once again we entered a MTB only path |
 川のそばに昼食をしました。このホームメードサンドイッチがめちゃ美味しかったです。 We had lunch beside a river. This home-made sandwich was nothing short of awesome. |  エナジードリンクを飲みながら、ニュージーランドの自然を楽しみました。 We enjoyed the last of our break surrounded by New Zealand's nature swigging on an energy drink. |
昼食が終わったところです。 With lunch finished, we prepare to continue on our way.
 もう一つのスイング・ブリッジを渡りました。 |  Crossing over another swing bridge. |
 カウィハカ川に出ました We came out at Kawihaka Creek |  ここからほとんど砂利道路を走りました。 From here we traveled mostly on gravel roads. |
絵のように綺麗です Very picturesque
ここもいい感じです It's not bad here either
 ここから行く方向 The direction we are heading |  振り返る Looking back |
 こういう標識が沢山あります。ウェスト・コースト・ワルダネス・トレイルの始点まで43㎞だという意味です。終点が反対方向です。 These signs are all along the trail. This one means it's 43km to the start point of the West Coast Wilderness Trail. The end point is in the other direction |  |
 マヌカ木が咲いています。ニュージーランドのマヌカハニーが美味しいし、薬としても使われています。私が住んでいる田舎の日本ででも買えます。 |  The manuka trees are in bloom. New Zealand manuka honey is not only delicious, but also used by some as a medicine. You can even buy it near where I live in rural Japan. |
 カピテア貯水池が見えてきました。 Kapitea Reservoir has come into view |  ずっとこういう標識があるので、道を迷いません。 These signs are all along the trail, so you can't get lost. |
ここがいい！！！ This spot's pretty cool！！！
 左側 on the left |  右側 on the right |
「クマラ貯水池」ここでは左にクマラ貯水池があって、右側にカピテア貯水池があります。 [Kumara Reservoir] Along here, Kumara reservoir is on the left and Kapitea Resevoir on the right.
クマラ貯水池の向こう側をズームアップするとこの山が見えます。夏だっても雪が沢山積もっています。万年雪です。ニュージーランドでは高い山にずっと雪が積もっています。氷河が3,000以上あります。 I can see this mountain after zooming up across Kumara Reservoir. Even though it's summer, there is plenty of snow. It's perennial snow. There is always snow on high mountains in New Zealand and there are over 3,000 glaciers.
シングルトラックがあります。長くないけれども、楽しい！！！ There's a single track here. It's not so long, but fun！！！

 この苔が面白いです。 ニュージーランドでは苔の種類が550以上あります。 |  This moss is interesting. There are over 550 species of moss in New Zealand. |
私達の終点が見えてきました。 Our destination has come into view.
真ん中の山の向こう側から来ました。 We came from the other side of that mountain in the middle of the photo.

妹が迎えに来ました。冷たいビールを持ってきてくれました。妹が最高です。めちゃ美味しかった。 My sister came to pick us up. She bought us a cold beer each. What an awesome sister. It really hit the spot.

走ったコース。31㎞でした。南から北へ走りました。 Our course. It was 31km. We went from south to north.
最高でした。また行きたいです。ニュージーランドがMTB天国うです。 That was just awesome. I want to go again. New Zealand is MTB heaven.
