If you come to Miyazu, of course you have to enjoy the splendor of Amanohashidate. That was dad's last request, and thus, our 2nd ride.
天橋立神社の鳥居の上に石が置いてあります。何ででしょうか。恋愛成就の地としてカップルがこの鳥居の上に石を置いていく不思議スポットだそうです。どうやってあそこに置いたかな~。 Why are there stones on the torii gate of Amanohashidate Shrine? Apparently, this is a mystery spot where couples place stones on the torii gate to fulfill their love. I wonder how they got them up there. |
Dad grew up on a jersey farm in New Zealand. All the cows were outside in pasture all year round. So from his point of view, this style is cruel to the cows. There were rice fields around the place outside, but I didn't see any pasture. Wonder if they have some. Kids would love this place, as they can see the cows, some rabbits, and a sheep. I think this place would be interesting for Japanese. For us however, Lilac (Rairakku) Jersey Cow Farm was better. The handmade ice-cream there was really good.
I took dad to Kansai Airport the next day. On the way we stopped at Kura Sushi for lunch. Dad loved the sushi at these kinds of places. Over the 9 days, I drove 1,500 km for dad. The weather was good everyday, and we had a great holiday. Thanks to everyone, dad took home lots of memories he will never forget. Cheers!
